John began to experience athletic success during his high school and college years. Recognized as one of the most dedicated athletes his college coach called him the most prepared college athlete he had ever received. He went on to be a scholarship athlete in Track and Field at Western Carolina where he was the first ever to be awarded "Freshman of The Year" for indoor and outdoor in the southern conference. Famed Baylor coach Clyde Hart recruited John for the Baylor Track and Field running team. John missed qualifying for the Olympic Trials in the 800m run in 2004 by just 0.8 seconds.
He counsels individuals from athletes to executives on how to achieve high performance from nutrient dense foods. He is steadily increasing his speed since implementing nutrient-rich diets for athletes. For the first time John is surprising his coach with his ability.
